Hot Toys' Batmobile @ Tumbler photo updates....what a huge monstrosity it is!

It's official....all over the net now. Hot Toys' Batmobile @ Tumbler is gonna hit the shelves pretty soon. Amidst wild rumours that the product was going to be cancelled, this should make fanboys happy, irregardless whether they decide to purchase the product or not. It's surely a sight to behold. What a beauty of a delicately-produced 1/6th scale replica.
I didn't pre-order one, economically it's not feasible for me to do so. How much is this thing going for again? I heard that some say it's gonna fetch as high as USD500....could somebody verify this? Whatever price it's destined to be, those who did pre-order should prepare heaps of cash (or clear some of that "plastic credit" thinga-ma-jiggy) for this baby now! I know of a fellow Malaysian blogger (who's an ardent Batman fan for that matter) who'd definitely be getting his the soonest as this gets released on Malaysian soil.
Even if I could afford it, there's always the 'space' issue...where the heck am I going to stash this one away at home? Definitely not gonna be any display area for it at my room/house......heheh. That's not gonna stop me from enjoying the pictures, right? Read on.....

Hot Toys has been kind enough to post updates/photos on the status of their much awaited 1/6 scale TDK Batmobile/Tumbler. The whole anticipation started about a year ago when the company announced that they will be making a Tumbler in this scale. Since the announcement got out, expectant fans are both eager and jittery to see the real thing....even if it's just a prototype or teaser pictures. Well then, prepare to feast your eyes.....

One could only assume that the cause of the long wait can be attributed to the company’s very strict control over quality. They want to ensure that the final product is nothing short of perfect. HT has always placed a great importance on their QC team, I can tell you that. And to ensure we get our money’s worth, they have taken extra steps to make sure that the packaging is sturdy enough to protect the valuable content. Heck yeah, who would want a (supposedly) USD500 toy to be damaged (even a slight scratch would make ya' cringe in agony I reckon!) during shipment!

This must be my favourite photo from these teaser pics, a picture from the assembly line. It reminds me of a parking lot. Hehehe.......

You're right....Takai AND Kowai (in the sense of its ludicrous price!) :p
